He reads our thoughts
and predicts our actions.
He sees how much time
is given to the things of
this world. He watches us,
as we spend hours on the
internet, hours watching
movies, hours absorbing
music, hours eating food,
and ten minutes reading
His word. He knows our
days belong to Him, but
we can't seem to get the
point. We mistakenly
believe they belong to us,
so we go about planning
each one with infinite care.
Jealously He sees our time,
and how we use it. Sadly, He
sees us waste the time that
rightfully belongs to Him.
Day after day, hour after
hour, minute after minute.
Like a spoiled little child,
what we need is discipline.
Only out of mercy does He
refrain from giving us what
we really deserve.
